German Language Levels based on CEFR standards

All the German language courses that we offer are aligned with the common European Framework of reference for  Languages (CEFRL) that are issued by the European commission for Language learning standards. As a matter of fact, we at Berliner’s follow a simple approach for our online german lessons where we basically focus on 3 key attributes i.e. Learning, Teaching and Assessment. International German Language Goethe Zertifikat Exam

The German Proficiency Exam, also known as Goethe Zertifikat/ Zertifikat Deutsch,  in India follows guidelines of CEFRL (Common European Framework of Reference for Language) and is conducted by Goethe-Institut network in India. The Goethe-Institut is the Federal Republic of Germany’s cultural institute, active worldwide and they promote the study of German abroad and encourage international cultural exchange.

TELC – The European Language Certification, partners with Germany’s Federal Government to test your German skills (Deutsch).

ÖSD –  The German acronym ÖSD stands for “Österreichisches Sprachdiplom Deutsch” as well as for “Österreich, Schweiz, Deutschland” (Austria, Switzerland, Germany). It is a German examination approved by the Austrian Federal Ministry for Foreign Affairs, Education, Science, and Cultural Affairs.

ÖIF – The Österreichische Integrationsfonds(Austrian Integration Fund) is a partner of the Federal Ministry for Europe, Integration and Foreign Affairs, and many responsible authorities on migration and integration in Austria.

Who can join our Online German Language Classes?

How much time will it take to learn German?

Based on our years of Experience, an average German Explorer would take around 700-800 hours to reach the proficiency level in German. There are total 6 levels for German Language that are defined by the Common European Reference Framework (CEFR) Standard  body. For Instance, A1 and A2 are the foundation levels. , B1 and B2 are Intermediate levels, C1 and C2 are the advanced levels of German language.

What is the duration of the Online German Language Courses?

The duration of our German language courses varies from 6 weeks to 2.5 years. Each German language Course level has predefined course hours and based on the number of class hours you do per week, the course duration is decided. For example, A1 level group class is for 60-70 hours. If you do 6 hours per week then the course duration would be approx. 3.5 months for Level A1.

Do you provide Certificate after completion of the German Course?

There are 2 types of certificates that you can target after finishing the Online German Language Course with Certificate. Firstly, German Language course participation certificate issues by Berliner’s after you pass our internal Exam. In addition, If you require international recognition of your German language qualification then you can go for Global certificate issued by Goethe Institut.  For this, One has to appear in the Goethe Zertifikat Exam conducted by Goethe Institut.  They are the only certifying authority that can issue GOETHE certificate that is valid worldwide. We prepare the students for the Goethe/TestDaf/Telc exams. We provide complete support for the Exam preparation.

Are the Online German Classes conducted by Native or Non Native Local Teachers?

Being a global company, we provide options to our customers to choose between the native teachers or non native local teachers. But it is observed that in foundation levels non native local teachers are more affective in teaching the concepts as they can use the local language to explain the basics. Native teachers are more affective at higher levels.

Are the german class timings flexible?

We work in 24 hour time zone world wide. We provide the facility where you can choose the day and time of your classes when you register with us for the Online German language course. You can choose weekends, weekdays and even hybrid model comprising of weekdays and weekends.

Do you provide class recordings in case we miss a class?

We understand the fact that our students might not be able to join regularly all the scheduled classes due to other professional commitments or personal reasons. Therefore, we offer cloud recording of the missed class to our Students.  Of course, we prefer that you should join the classes regularly as class recordings can not completely replace a live class
